About Kristina Wright

Kristina started writing fiction in the first grade and hasn't stopped since. Along the way, she's written everything from greeting cards to book reviews, but fiction remains her passion. She has been writing more or less full-time since 1997, with a series of breaks for“normal” jobs, college and a couple of degrees.

Dark as it was, he would know her anywhere, in any millennium.
“Hello, darling,” she said, reaching up to kiss him on the lips before he could move away. Her mouth felt hot and soft. Familiar. “Long time.”
He resisted the urge to step away from her. She hadn’t changed at all. Life after life, she looked the same. Classic beauty, at home in any body in any century. Eyes and hair darkly exotic, olive complexion to match. She wore a filmy floor length white dress — an angelic color for a she-demon. He knew she chose everything she wore with the same careful attention that she chose her victims. The stark white against her skin only enhanced her beauty and emphasised her femininity. She was everything a man could want, and nothing he would ever survive.
Adam knew that all too well.
“Not long enough, Lilith. Why are you here?”
She stepped back, but he knew it had nothing to do with fearing him. “Why do you think, Adam?”
He needed to get away from her, but he was trapped. If he walked back the way he had come, he would be leading her toward the bedroom where his wife slept. That was dangerous. He may not have seen her in a couple of centuries, but he knew Lilith was up to no good.
“I’m not going to hurt her,” Lilith whispered. “Not yet, anyway.”
She turned on her heel and walked into the living room, snapping on a lamp as she went. He followed, curious as to why she had shown up like this. The last time their paths had crossed — he shuddered.
“So why are you here?”
“Do you like that I showed up at night?” she asked, avoiding his question. “She walks in beauty like the night.”
“I wrote that a long time ago,” he said wearily. “When I thought there was a chance…”
“Ah yes, you always were the sentimental one. Eve and I, well, women have to be practical.”
